Notes:

Mining activity here probably dates to early times but the mine is known to have been worked from 16th century. 1835 acquired by Stephen H James and developed rapidly as a prosperous copper and tin mine and also produced significant amounts of arsenic. At end of 19th century in decline and closed 1895. Revived 1906 under Cornish Consolidated Tin Mines Ltd, London. Operated variously as Botallack Mines Ltd and Botallack Ltd. Closed 1914
