An autobiography largely of the business life of Sir Roderick Jones who started out as an assistant correspondent of Reuters in South Africa at the time of the South African War, subsequently ran Reuters operations in South Africa before returning to the UK to head the business, reorganise it and become its principal proprietor. Retired 1941. Provides a detailed account of the business as seen through his work within it.
