The writer, b1903, joined Lever Brothers Ltd in 1919 and from 1956-68 was a main board director of Unilever, working on their overseas interests and heading the firm's 'Overseas Committee'. Mostly a business biography including a chapter on William Lever whom he briefly worked for and travelled with. Otherwise largely about the overseas business of Unilever - structure, administration, focus within the 'Overseas Committee' and later also United Exporters Ltd, business in India for which early on the writer was responsible, and also coverage of Malaya and Nigeria
