Autobiography by John R Culshaw, 1924-80, with much about his business life, offering many insights into Decca and its classical recording business. Culshaw joined Decca in 1946 and continued there until 1967, leaving briefly, 1954-56, to head Capitol Record's newly formed European classical music recording business. At Decca he headed with great success its classical music recording activities. Contains much generally about the recorded music industry including EMI, RAC Victor, etc
