Otherwise produces transcriptions of in and out letters taken from the firm's letter books, copy books and account books, sent by the firm to North America, notably Virginia, or received by them in London from partners, customers and associates. Provides details of trading conditions, methods, etc, particularly relating to the tobacco trade. Arranged in date order by year. Extends to many hundreds of letters.
