Deals with the life and work of Walter Francis Crittall, 1887-1956, second son the firm's founder. After 1918 he made a significant design contribution to Crittalls, notably designing metal window frames, the firm's trade catalogues, etc, and also modern housing for employee at Silver End. Largely withdrew from the firm in about the late 1930s. Achieved wider recognition as an architect, furniture designer, etc, and advocate of modern design and participant in Design & Industries Association. He was known locally as 'Mr Pink'
