Mostly relates to the reforms of the 1980s. The writer was sometime managing partner of Arthur Andersen, accountants. In 1982 he joined Lloyd's of London to reform its accounting and financial management practices and subsequently became Chief Executive and Deputy Chairman, resigning in 1986. His publication reviews the reform of the organisation, 1982-1986.
