Traced origins to 1853 when established by Samuel and Charles Harding to make tracing paper and subsequently other drawing papers, mounting materials, stationery, etc. Incorporated as S C & P Harding Ltd and established large factories in inner London including Camberwell. Began making blueprint, etc, materials for drawing offices and in 1912 ferro gallic copying paper. 1943 merged with B J Hall & Co Ltd to form Hall Harding & Co Ltd. Subsequently made several acquisitions including photoprinting machine makers and service providers. Developed branches throughout country. 1966 acquired by General Aniline & Film Corp (GAF Corp) of USA to become GAF (Great Britain) Ltd
