Established c1857. 1886 acquired by Dr Grabham of Madeira. Developed as a specialist business casting and machining non ferrous metals, notably for bearings. From early 20th century based at Southwark, London, and then served in particular the railway and electric tramway industries. By 1910 relocated to Peckham and started to serve other industries, especially aircraft production. 1936 public company. 1939-45 relocated to much larger works at Maidenhead. 1957 acquired by Beyer Peacock & Co Ltd
