Notes:

Established c1845 by George Walker. Joined by Henry Hall in 1853 when known as Walker & Hall. Developed into a major firm of silversmiths and cutlery manufactures, in particular making electroplated ware in which it was an early specialist. Incorporated 1920. 1963 merged with other leading businesses, such as Elkington & Co of Birmingham and Mappin & Webb Ltd of London to form British Silverware Ltd. Discontinued 1971.
