From 1890s formed Rembrandt Intaglio Printing Co Ltd to develop / exploit innovative rotogravure printing processes which were applied to cloth printing; it was fully acquired 1923. 1902 incorporated. Post 1945 production of coverings using plastic, especially, vinyl, and man made fibres became its core business. 1957 public company. 1977 acquired by Turner & Newall Ltd
