Notes:

Lewisham Mills originally formed part of the Royal Greenwich Armoury/Royal Small Arms Factory and known as Royal Armoury Mill. Sold 1819 following relocation of factory to Enfield and acquired in 1824 by Robert Arnold, silk throwster. In c1860 mill passed to his nephews, Frederic and Edwin Stanton when business known as F & E Stanton. Developed as manufacturers of gold and silver cords, braids, tinsels, thread, etc, and drawers of gold and silver wire. Incorporated 1922 as F & E Stanton Ltd. Closed early 1930s
