Established at Trafford Park, Manchester, in 1909 by Raymond B Price of USA who, in 1908, had established Rubber Regenerating Co of Illinois, USA. 1913 acquired by US Rubber Co. 1934 British unit acquired by UK investors and converted into a public company. Initially recycled rubber tyres, footwear, etc, using Price's patent. Subsequently diversified into making rubber products, eg rubber labels, and in producing basic chemicals associated with rubber processing. Subsequently part of Uniroyal
