Notes:

Established 1860 as pinmakers by Stephen Jarrett, a pinmaker, and Charles Rainsford, d1904, a commercial traveller. 1898 incorporated as Jarrett & Rainsford Ltd. 1919 acquired Stratton & Co, makers of imitation jewellery, especially for men, which had been established by G A Laughton in 1911 and incorporated 1912. Then changed name to Jarrett, Rainsford & Laughton Ltd. From 1920s developed other fancy goods such as powder compacts, lipstick holders, etc under Stratton brand name. 1930s started plastic moulding via Twinco Ltd producing items such as combs. 1920s also started to manufacture radio components, later radios under the Eddystone brand. 1958 renamed Laughton & Sons Ltd. Still operating late 1990s
