Traced origins to Baguley Cars Ltd, established in 1911 by Ernest E Baguley to make motor vehicles via acquisition of Ryknield Motor Co of Shobnall Works, Burton upon Trent. c1912 started to make railcars for Drewry Car Co of London, beginning a long association of the two businesses. 1915 started to make small locomotives for the army. 1923 renamed Baguley (Engineers) Ltd confirming the move to building locomotives and railway cars. In liquidation 1931 but in 1932 revived as E E Baguley Ltd. 1962 acquired by Drewry Cars Ltd to form Baguley Drewry Ltd. Closed 1986 but resumed as Baguley (Engineers) Ltd
