In difficulties 1924-26. 1926 acquired by group of investors and renamed Aston Martin Motors, based at Feltham. 1947 acquired by Sir David Brown/David Brown Ltd who also owned Lagonda. Subsequently known as Aston Martin Lagonda. Production moved to Newport Pagnell. Sold 1972. Subsequently numerous owners under whom production of sports cars significantly increased. From 1987 controlled by Ford Motor Co Ltd and fully acquired by them in 1994. 2007 sold on by them. Continues as Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd
