From 1846 developed by his son, also John, 1830-1906. 1857 relocated to Kemnay and subsequently opened other quarries to become the dominant force in the Scottish granite quarrying and cutting industry. Sometime established branches for sale of granite products throughout Scotland. These were sold in c2000 to A & J Robertson (Granite) Ltd. Continues in 2010 as Fyfe Glenrock
