Notes:

Operated from ancient times to shortly after 1900. From c1814 to 1850s worked by Hugh Williams and John Pughe and their successors. Williams' daughter married Richard Cobden MP, 1804-65, sometime a successful calico printer who became involved in the mines. 1858 acquired by Dylife Mining Co Ltd in which Cobden was involved and placed in management of John Bright MP. Emerged as the most productive lead mine in mid Wales. By 1870s in decline when acquired by Dylife Lead Mining Co Ltd. Reorganised as Great Dylife Lead Mining Co Ltd in 1876. Production ended 1901
