From 1907 made motorcycles, having acquired certain assets of Light Motors Ltd, and by 1914-18 a major manufacturer. Also royal warrant holders. 1935 acquired by Bond Aircraft & Engineering Co Ltd and ceased to make motorcycles in 1950s. Sometime also made industrial trucks, electric road vehicles, aircraft engines, etc. 1957 acquired by Westinghouse Brake & Signal Co Ltd
