Robert Andrews, c1704-63, established himself in business as a solicitor in c1722, enrolling as such in 1730. A major client was the Grosvenor family (later Dukes of Westminster and the Grosvenor Estates) whom he advised in particular on their London estates then being developed. His father, Richard, d1734, had been agent of the London estate and Robert took over from him well before Richard's death. He also had other clients, especially builders, and advanced monies to them on his own account and himself undertook speculative property investment
