Thomas Betts, c1708-65, was a West End of London glass cutter and retailer, latterly being a leader in his trade and supplying fine glass products to prestige clients including aristocratic families. Had warehouse at Lewisham and glass cutting watermill at Deptford. Also made mirrors. Left estate of £10,000. Known about on account of the survival of a detailed probate inventory of his large estate
