Established as a partnership, Newby & Lamb, in the 1890s to act as wholesale sellers of women's gowns, costumes, etc, operating from 1920s from premises in Great Marlborough Street in London's West End. Sold to department stores, retail chains, etc, as well as by commercial travellers albeit in a small way. Latterly in decline before moving to Henrietta Street in 1953 and closing shortly afterwards
