Established in London in 1825 through issue of its shares on London Stock Exchange to develop copper mines and smelting plant in Chile. Paid up capital was £75,000. Charles Lambert, d1876, acted as the Association's agent in Chile. Collapsed 1826 following the financial crisis in London. Subsequently regained control of properties some of which subsequently passed to another English business, Copiapo Mining Co
