George Townsend Andrews, 1804-55, architect, was in partnership with P F Robinson of York from 1836 and succeeded to the business in 1844. Designed churches, banks and schools but especially known for his railway stations built for George Hudson's railway companies in Yorkshire including York & North Midland Railway Co from 1837 and Great North of England Railway Co
