They both contributed plant - GKN rod and bar plant Tremorfa Steel Works and Castle Rod Mill, both near Cardiff, and BSC a rod mill at Scunthorpe. c1984 GKN's interest was bought out and BSC's stake reduced to 20%. Subsequently acquired Sheerness Steel. 2002 in receivership
