James Macintyre, d1872, a Scot, started out as a merchant's clerk in Buenos Aires in 1818. 1822 returned to Britain when, in partnership with others, established a merchant house at Mexico City. 1835-40 in Australia where engaged in wool trade with Britain. c1850 retired
