Traced origins to mid 1930s when established at Fareham by Richard and Stanley Hawkins as builders, decorators and ironmongers. Soon after relocated to Gosport. 1938 started private house building on speculative basis. c1946 incorporated and diversified into a wide range of local building and civil engineering works.1954 converted to a public company. Also had own joinery works
