Traced origins to 1912 when owned by Anzani Engine business of Italy. Designed and made high performance motor car and motorcycle engines. 1927 reorganised when new company formed to acquire the assets of the old. Subsequently, under Charles H Harrison, formerly of British Motor Boat Manufacturing Co Ltd, started to manufacture amusement equipment for fairgrounds, etc. From 1939-45 made outboard marine engines and light tractors -'Iron Horse'. After war also re-entered car and motor vehicle engine production
