Established in 1904 by John H Keeling, his three sons and John Lang as Bank Bridge Stopper Works Ltd to make ebonite screw stoppers and rings for beer and mineral water bottles. After 1918 developed a major business also in production of rubber heels and soles for footwear, rubber mats, etc, for motor vehicles, rubber flooring, washers, etc. Re named Bank Bridge Rubber Co Ltd in c1937. 1944 converted to public company
