Traced origins to 1910 when established by the London manager of Langstaff, Erembert & Pollock [LEP], forwarding agents, and Pollock who was a partner in LEP. Developed into a leading firm of shipping and forwarding agents which by 1928 had nine depots in leading cities across Britain. Involved in shipping, forwarding, packing, storage, transport, etc. Had interests in parcel delivery; motor vehicle packing and forwarding; furniture storage; storage of skins and hides; bonded warehousing; fine art packing; etc; etc. Owned large fleet of motor vehicles. Post 1945 diversified into property, security and other services. Floated 1947. Later known as LEP Group. Acquisitions included Swift Transport Services Ltd in 1985. 1996 acquired by International Logistics of USA, later known as GeoLogistics
