Honeywill in 1931 acquired Stein Brothers Ltd, another building products business, to form Honeywill & Stein Ltd. In 1933 H&S joined with GL&A to form Gyproc Products Ltd which built production plant in the UK, initially at Rochester and, later, Glasgow. In 1938 the whole operation became fully owned by DCL via H&S. Late H&S disposed of their other interests. 1944 GPL merged with British Plaster Board Group with DCL taking a substantial shareholding in the BPBG business
