Traced origins to 1960s when Harry Goodman, d2018, acquired a small travel agency, Sidcup Travel, at Sidcup. Developed this as Sunair Holidays, a tour operator. 1971 sold this to Cunard Steam Ship Co Ltd. 1972 acquired Intasun which he soon developed into a pioneering provider of low budget package holidays. To support this established in 1978 Inter European Airways, renamed Air Europe in 1979, as a pioneering provider of low cost charter flights to holiday destinations. 1981 floated on the Unlisted Securities Market. The business sometime renamed International Leisure Group. By late 1980s selling over one million holidays annually. 1991 collapsed in wake of First Gulf War
