From 1917 associated with Eugene Suter, a leading London women's hairdresser, for whom he developed electrical hair waving equipment. Incorporated c1920 as I Calvete Ltd and by 1930s had works at Clapham. Used ICALL trademark. Eventually Calvete and Suter separated and the latter, which traded variously as Eugene Ltd and Suter Electrical Ltd, started manufacture on its own account.
