Notes:

A group of leading Welsh lead, zinc and silver mines leased from the Londonderry family and worked especially from the early 19th century. The most important mine was operated by Van Mining Co Ltd, established in 1869, reorganised in 1884 and again in 1891 as Van Mining Company Ltd.. Collapsed 1892 and reopened by Edward Wood & Co. 1902 acquired by Van Mines Ltd and in 1908 sold on to Llanidloes Mining & Machinery Co Ltd. From 1916 operated by Welsh Van Mining Co Ltd
